The International Education Board Department of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery (IEBDAMS) presents itself as an organization that has set high standards of professionalism and care for physicians and specialists in the field of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. It operates as a certifying body, aiming to ensure that practitioners in this field meet certain educational, professional standing, and examination standards. This certification is voluntary for aesthetic practitioners and cosmetic surgeons​​​​.

IEBDAMS was initially established in 2012 under the name "INTERNATIONAL SKILL EDUCATION QUALITY STANDARDS ACCREDITATION" and later adopted the name "INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION BOARD" in 2021. The organization focuses on improving the quality of medical aesthetics and cosmetic surgery education by establishing high and uniform standards for postgraduate examinations in these fields on an international level. It conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in association with the Board of International Examinations in approved specialties of aesthetic medicine and cosmetic surgery, leading to various awards such as “Fellow of International Education Board” (FIEB), "Diplomate of International Education Board" (DIEB), and "Doctorate of International Education Board" (DrIEB). Additionally, it provides examinations for non-medical professionals for certificate courses, diplomas, and degrees in Aesthetics, Cosmetology, and Semi Permanent Makeup​.​

IEBDAMS's mission includes addressing the need for a uniform standard of education internationally in the field of aesthetics and cosmetic surgery. It has established a mechanism of uniform accreditation, education, and examination for postgraduate and postdoctoral disciplines, which is internationally recognized. The organization has accredited more than 200 institutions in over 20 countries and contributes significantly to the global need for specialists in aesthetics and cosmetic surgery through its alumni​.
